Parish Community Building Opportunities

Since we are a part of a tri-parish cluster, we have a lot of shared events. You may have registered with one parish, but are interested in an event or ministry offered by one of the parishes and that is wonderful! The more people you know from all the different parishes, the stronger our Catholic community becomes!

Bay View Bash (IC)

The Bay View Bash is an annual event  occurring in September, where KK is closed down for the festival. IC hosts a  kids’ area during the day and opens up the church for passers-by to pray for peace in the evening. For more information, contact adore@southshorecatholic.org.

Boy Scouts (IC)

The IC Chapter of Boy Scouts meets on Thursdays at 6:30pm in Ryan Hall. Please contact boyscouts@southshorecatholic.org.

Chill on the Hill Family Night

Chill on the Hill is a Bay View Tradition and during the Family Night STAA and the parishes host a table and hand out treats and information for the families in attendance.

Corpus Christi Procession

Each June the parishes process from St. Augustine to Immaculate Conception and witness to our neighbors. The procession concludes with prayer and a picnic!

Cribbage Tournament(IC)

Each February parishioners come together and compete for the best score in Cribbage. The winner receives a cribbage board and last place receives a consolation prize!

Dad’s Group

Once a month dads with young children come together to pray, discuss topical issues, and socialize. Contact bayviewcatholicdiscipleship@gmail.com for more information.

Fall Fest(SHJ)

Hosted in the fall, the Fall Fest is a time of fellowship and community along with raffles and games.

Fish Fry(SA)

St. Augustine’s Famous Fish Fry happens 1-2 Fridays per month from November-April. For questions contact fishfry@southshorecatholic.org.

Forty Hours Devotion

Hosted in October each year, this is a time of Eucharistic prayer as a community with a common message with guest speakers. This annual event rotates parish sites!

Hospitality Sundays

Usually occurring one Sunday per month, this offers a chance for parishioners to share food and fellowship.  Contact the parish office with questions.

Mom’s Group

Once a month moms with young children at home come together to pray, reflect, and share experiences with other Catholic moms of the parishes. Contact momsgroup@southshorecatholic.org for more information.

Oktoberfest(SA)

Hosted the last Sunday in September, the day involves traditional German food , a biergarten, live polka music, raffles, a silent auction, kids’ games, and a Stein holding competition (root beer for kids, beer for adults)! For questions contact oktoberfest@southshorecatholic.org.

Tri-Parish Picnic

This is an annual summer picnic where the parishioners come together to share in fellowship and food. We are always in need of planners and volunteers!
